Psychotherapists

Sharon Clinton

Hello, my name is Sharon, I am a counsellor/psychotherapist (MBACP) here at Evolve Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I have a degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and am currently completing an advanced Master's degree in Adolescent Psychotherapy. In addition, I am a certified Trauma Informed Practitioner, a qualified adult, children's and menopause yoga teacher, personal trainer and reiki practitioner.

I take a holistic approach to mental health and well-being considering both mind and body. I work with adults and adolescents age 12+ and aim to collaboratively develop treatment plans to suit individual needs and preferences.

I am passionate about working therapeutically with those experiencing mental health difficulties. I have a wealth of experience working with issues such as anxiety, stress, anger, low mood, depression, work related issues, personal growth and development, relationship difficulties, life transitions such as adolescence and menopause.

As a Certified Menopause Practitioner and Yoga for Menopause teacher, both of these roles are essential in helping women navigate the often complex and transformative journey of menopause. They offer valuable support, knowledge, and practices to enhance women's quality of life during this stage of life.

My aim is to work holistically to help women navigate the physical and emotional changes associated with menopause, offering support, education, and strategies to enhance their overall quality of life during this life stage.  While Menopause is a natural part of a woman’s life, the experience can vary greatly from person to person.  Some women may find this transition relatively smooth, while others may struggle with more severe symptoms.  It is essential for women to seek support and medical advice as needed to manage symptoms and maintain their overall health and well-being during this phase of life.

I believe that given the right environment and support people have an innate capacity for positive change leading to self-empowerment and a happier way of being.
